Dental x-rays are then taken to examine deeper the surface of the mouth. After this step in your dental checkup, a qualified dentist will visit you, check the reports and x-rays and will decide on the next course of action. The results of the x-ray will help them to see whether there are any bone loss, fractures or any sort of abnormality within the visible surface of the gums.
